3 Eskimo rookies injured at camp

Courtesy Edmonton Journal:

Three Edmonton Eskimos recruits have come up limping Friday as Day 3 of rookie camp continues at Clarke Park.

A leg injury has kept speedy receiver Eric Ware off the field, while defensive back E.J. Underwood is out due to an ankle problem.

Fellow DB Brandent Englemon joined the two on the sideline during the morning session with what looks like a hip injury.

Receiver Efrem Hill did return to the action after a stitched-up pinky kept him out of play since the middle of Day 1 on Wednesday.

Rookie camp concludes Friday and main camp checks in Saturday with medicals set for the 41 players on the training camp roster.

Veterans Thaddeus Coleman, Gerald Davis, Sammy Okpro, Jamaica Rector and Derek Schiavone (who have been on the Esks practice roster or have played elsewhere) have been participating in rookie camp and officially up the list to 46.

Fan day is set for Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Clarke Park and veterans will begin their first two-a-day, on-field sessions on Sunday at 7:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. at Clarke.
