Barker will be watched closely at evaluation camp

The name is Dylan Barker.
Don’t rule out the possibility that he could be the next star of the Hamilton Tiger-Cat defence.
Tabbie GM Bob O’Billovich is already raving about the 21-year-old University of Saskatchewan free safety, who is expected to garner much interest at the Canadian Football League evaluation camp March 14 in Toronto.
Every Canadian football league squad and their scouts will attend the camp, which is a chance for 54 of Canada’s top football prospects to showcase their talents prior to the annual Canadian college draft on April 30.
“He will probably be one of the top guys in the draft,” O’Billovich said of Barker yesterday. “He has good size, for a free safety, runs well, is aggressive and a good tackler.”
Barker was one of four Canadians to play in the 2008 east/west bowl and acquitted himself well, according to the Cat GM.
And best of all? Barker, a first team All-Canadian in 2006 and 2007, is available for the taking. The Tiger-Cats hold the top pick in this draft as well as selections nine and 17.
