BC Lions: NFL teams interested in Hunt

The notion that the Lions could lose a player to the NFL despite a relative lack of CFL experience became a reality a year ago this week when Chris Wilson bolted to the Washington Redskins.
The same scenario could soon face the CFL club with another defensive lineman, Aaron Hunt.
The second-year tackle said Wednesday he has been contacted by three NFL teams and has workouts scheduled in the next two weeks with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
Losing the 27-year-old would force the Lions to scurry in a manner similar to last year when Wilson, 25, left after two seasons with B.C. to become a third-down rusher for the Redskins.
The Leos replaced him with Cameron Wake.
At this point, however, all it would take the Lions to keep Hunt, the league’s top rookie before Wake won the award last year, is a decent contract extension offer.
“Just to keep from going through all of that, it would be nice to get something done,” said Hunt, who also has been contacted by the Seattle Seahawks.
