Becoming offensive Co-ordinator is one step closer
Courtesy Hamilton Spectator:
R.D. Lancaster held the post for six seasons.
But Jamie Barresi could manage just one season.
Joe Paopao didn’t even last that long, having been fired as the Tiger-Cats’ offensive co-ordinator in 2006 after 11 contests.
Paopao was replaced by offensive assistant Perry Marchese and director of player personnel Craig Smith taking over the offensive play-calling.
Mike Working last held the job. But for just one season.
Now, former Montreal Alouettes’ offensive co-ordinator Marcel Bellefeuille is the leading contender to take Hamilton’s offensive co-ordinator post. A quick look at recent history shows it’s not a job that comes with a lot of security.
They’ve enjoyed slightly more success with the defensive co-ordinator role. Daryl Edralin held it in 2003, but 1-17 seasons don’t do much to enhance job security.
