Bombers add some speed

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added some world-class speed to their pass-catching ranks today with the signing of import receiver Abraham Morlu to a contract.
As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Morlu was a member of the Liberian track and field team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The fleet-footed sprinter also represented Liberia at the 2001 World Track and Field Championships and the 2002 African Championships.
Morlu attended the University of North Carolina-Charlotte on a track scholarship and was an eight-time All-Conference selection and a five-time winner of the Commissioner’s Medal as one of the top male athletes in Conference USA.
Prior to joining the UNC-Charlotte track team, he was one of the top-rated high school football prospects in North Carolina.
