Bombers Hebert signs with NFL’s Cinncinati Bengals

One of the most important defensive players for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in their run to the Grey Cup game last season has bolted for the NFL.
Safety Kyries Hebert, who came to Winnipeg amid controversy after being plucked off waivers from the defunct Ottawa Renegades in 2006, has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hebert was not taken in the dispersal draft when the Renegades folded in 2006 and was hoping to get out of his CFL contract so he could sign with the Bengals.
