Recently-acquired import linebacker Siddeeq Shabazz and import wide receiver Adarius Bowman
signed contract extensions with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the local CFL club announced
yesterday.
The Bombers also signed import defensive lineman Chase Ortiz and import defensive back
Jasper Johnson.
The 6-foot, 205-pound Shabazz was acquired from Edmonton while Bowman was picked up from the
Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Shabazz, 28, recorded 63 defensive tackles, six special team’s tackles, four tackles for a
loss, three quarterback sacks and one interception.
“He will not only provide leadership but is a player that can run and hit and play three
different positions,” Bomber head coach Mike Kelly said in a release. “He will be primarily
our weak-side linebacker, but we know he provides us with great versatility.”
The 6-foot-4, 219-pound Bowman caught 23 passes for 358 yards and three touchdowns in nine
regular-season games.
