Cats sign pair of import recievers
Courtesy Hamilton Spectator:
Wow! Just what the Ticats need. A pair of import receivers.
The CFL club added to a full lair of receivers with the announcement of two more. The latest prospects set for rookie camp Wednesday include 6-foot-3, 220-pound Ernest Jackson of the University of Cincinnati and 5-foot-11, 200-pound Eddie Cohen of Western Carolina.
They can expect company. Lots of it in fellow pass catchers Kelvin Kight, Scott Mitchell, Prechae Rodriguez, Montiese Culton, Adrian Madise and Willie Ponder. They’ll join veteran import receivers Tony Miles, Rashawn Woods, Jason Armstead and Jo-Jo Walker. The homebrew receiver wannabes include Jason French, Chris Bauman, Pat Woodcock and Laurent Lavigne-Masse.
But hold the phone.
GM Bob O’Billovich is doing handstands over Jackson, who he found at a Detroit free agent camp.
Jackson has size and was used as a tight end in his final season at Cincinnati.
