Cats soaking it in

It started with a fun competition between the offence and the defence to see how many pushups or squats or buppies each group would have to do.
But a little splash from a water bottle turned into a water fight that escalated to Peter Dyakowski bringing an entire water jug onto the field and … well … you can probably guess where it went from there.
Throw in some dancing, a bunch of grown men clucking like chickens, a whole lot of good-natured taunting, Richie Williams being carried around by a bunch of teammates and then nearly dropped on his head, gales of laughter and bunch of other silliness and you get the Ticats’ day-after-the-game workout yesterday.
“There’s a real good chemistry going on with the guys here,” said Ray Mariuz.
“We’re just having fun. Especially over the past couple years, guys can get uptight.”
Apparently, winning really does change everything. Even winning a reasonably meaningless 12-10 pre-season decision.
Several players said this was as loosey-goosey as they’ve seen the team in years.
And while nobody should expect this kind of summer camp atmosphere to be there every week, centre Marwan Hage says it certainly has its place.
