Diedrick sticks with Als
Courtesy Herb Zurkowsky:
On the day of the National Hockey League’s trade deadline, when they must have known the news would be buried if not virtually overlooked, the Alouettes have announced the re-signing of non-import Dahrran Diedrick.
Diedrick was the team’s last remaining free-agent.
The 6-foot, 224 pounder joined Montreal in July 2006, following portions of two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos.
Diedrick has an impressive pedigree but has never fulfilled his seemingly vast potential.
He played collegeiately at Nebraska and spent time in the NFL with San Diego, Green Bay and Washington. He was selected by the Eskimos in the third-round (24th overall) of the 2003 Canadian college draft.
