The Edmonton Eskimos signed CFL veteran import defensive end Tim Cheatwood and import running back Damien Anderson on Tuesday.

Cheatwood played for the Hamilton Ticats for five seasons at defensive end, appearing in 77 regular season games and registering 224 defensive tackles and 41 quarterback sacks.

He was named an East Division All-Star in 2003 and 2004 and was Hamilton’s nominee for the CFL Most Outstanding Player Award in 2003.

Cheatwood signed with the Montreal Alouettes in 2007 and spent the first half of the season on the 9-game injured list with a knee injury before being released.
