Eskimos release imports Omar Morgan and Rob Brown

The Edmonton Eskimos have released import defensive back Omarr Morgan and import defensive tackle Rob Brown.

Morgan started 16 games in his first season with the Eskimos. He finished the season with 52 tackles, seven knockdowns, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Morgan played his first seven CFL seasons for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Brown started his CFL career with Edmonton in 1998 and was named the team’s Rookie of the Year. After four seasons with the Eskimos, he was traded to Montreal before being traded back to Edmonton in February 2006.
