The Edmonton Eskimos on Tuesday announced the signing of non-import offensive lineman Adam

Rogers attended the Eskimos’ training camp last year, but returned to the Canadian
Interuniversity Sport’s Acadia Axemen for his final year of eligibility.
The 23-year-old, who stands six-foot-five and weighs 310 pounds, was a CIS first-team
all-star in 2006 and 2007 and played in the 2007 East-West Bowl. He earned second-team CIS
all-star honours in 2005.
The Eskimos also announced the signing of import defensive lineman Xzavie Jackson and import
linebacker Tumbo Abanikanda.
Jackson, six-foot-four and 285 pounds, spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice
roster in 2007 and 2008. Originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals
in 2007, Jackson appeared in three National Football League pre-season games, recording
seven tackles.
Abanikanda, five-foot-11, 225 pounds, started 12 of 13 games in 2008 at Southern
Mississippi, recording 84 tackles (57 solo), 11 tackles for losses, three forced fumbles,
two sacks, one pass broken up and one interception.
