The Winnipeg Blue Bombers got good news and bad news yesterday.

The good news is Dan Goodspeed’s workout with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints apparently didn’t go as planned, meaning his return to the CFL is almost guaranteed.

The bad news for the Bombers is the dominant right tackle is no closer to re-signing with the Blue and Gold, and will likely hit the free agent market tomorrow night.

“We’re apart enough where we’re not able to do a deal,” Bombers GM Brendan Taman said. “He’s pulling his way, I’m pulling mine, who knows where it ends up. Maybe the string breaks.”
