The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced they have agreed to terms with import offensive linemen Dan Goodspeed on a new multi-year contract.
“I’m really excited about the fact that I’m coming back to Winnipeg,” Goodspeed said. “In the couple of years that I’ve played up there I’ve developed a real fondness of the Canadian game and my wife and I both really like the city.
“The fact is Winnipeg is where I want to be, especially with everything we’ve accomplished the past three years. I want to build on that and get back to the Grey Cup. We’ve got a pretty good thing going on there and I want to be part of that.”
Bomber G.M. Brendan Taman said the re-signing of Goodspeed is an important first step in putting together a winning team in 2008.
