Defensive co-ordinator Richie Hall has worked for five head coaches since joining the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders’ staff in 1994.

Who’s going to be the sixth head coach? How about him?

“Oh, sure, I’m definitely interested,” Hall said Thursday while vacationing in southern Florida. “I know there’s a process. I don’t know what (Roughriders general manager Eric Tillman is) thinking because everything has come about in the last few days, but I would very much be interested in the challenge.”

As of Thursday afternoon, Tillman had not begun calling candidates to replace Kent Austin as head coach of the reigning Grey Cup champions.
