Joseph on the move?

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are apparently on the verge of trading quarterback Kerry Joseph, the Leader-Post has learned.
Roughriders general manager Eric Tillman is close to dealing Joseph — the CFL’s outstanding player in 2007 — to the Toronto Argonauts. The nature of the compensation was not immediately known, although the Roughriders are likely to receive multiple players in return.
The 34-year-old Joseph guided Saskatchewan to the 2007 Grey Cup title three days after being recognized with his outstanding-player award. Prior to the 2007 season, Joseph accepted a $125,000 pay reduction to help the Roughriders comply with the CFL’s $4.05-million salary cap. Recently, Joseph expressed a desire to recoup some of that money and to be compensated in line with many other starting quarterbacks, whose salaries are well in excess of $300,000.
“I love playing in Saskatchewan and I would just love to get my contract up to par with the other quarterbacks around the league,” Joseph said on Jan. 30.
