Lynch and Mitchell remain Riders

Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager/Vice President of Football Operations Eric Tillman announced today they have re-signed import linebacker Brandon Lynch and import defensive end Kyle Mitchell. Financial details of the signings were not released.

Lynch (5’11 – 192 lbs) is entering his second season in Saskatchewan. He dressed in six regular season games last year and recorded one defensive tackle and six special teams tackles. The previous three seasons were split between the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts practice rosters. The 26-year old spent four seasons at Middle Tennessee State University where he collected 201 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss and four fumble recoveries.

Mitchell (6’2 – 235 lbs) is back with Saskatchewan for his third season. Last year, he started three games at defensive end. He finished the season with seven defensive tackles, an interception and a 16-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Prior to joining the Riders, Mitchell spent four years at Indiana State University where he dressed in 46 games and finished his career with 57 tackles, five quarterback sacks and a 72-yard interception return for a touchdown.
