Nande cut by Lions

It won’t be memorable for long, but Terna Nande’s last act as a member of the Lions was running into a teammate in the final minute of their loss Sunday in Montreal.
A source said Wednesday morning that Nande has been released by the Lions, who fell in love with the linebacker at this time a year ago but never let him develop beyond a meagre trial at the end of last season.
Call it the Jamall Johnson syndrome.
Nande was not an impact player for the Lions, though he had the key stop on Avon Cobourne which gave them their controversial win over the Alouettes two weeks ago. He had a huge impact on Ian Smart in Montreal Sunday when the two smacked into each other heavily on the final kickoff return of the game.
Not enough to stick, however.
