PARKER SET TO RETURN TO ARGONAUTS AFTER BREAK
Courtesy TSN.ca:
The struggling Toronto Argonauts may get a familiar face back on defence after the bye week.
Former Argos’ cornerback Byron Parker has been cut by the Philadelphia Eagles and is expected to report for practice when the team returns from the break. The Argonauts’ next game is August 28 at home against the Calgary Stampeders.
Parker attended Friday night’s game against the B.C. Lions, a game which saw the Argonauts (2-5) cough up a 22-7 third-quarter lead and drop a 36-28 decision.
Parker, who is a two-time All-Star, had 18 interceptions and six touchdowns in three seasons with the Argonauts.
