Printers and Lumsden have huge nights for Tabbies

It was a classic Argo bounce-back.
After appearing so abysmal in their season-opener, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats looked to their two best players to be their best players last night.
Casey Printers and Jesse Lumsden sparkled as the 1-1 Ticats toppled the Toronto Argonauts 32-13 before 30,822 at the Rogers Centre.
The victory was Hamilton’s first in Hogtown since July 30, 2001, and snapped a nine-game losing streak against their 403 rivals.
More significantly, the Tabbies grabbed two points on the road for the first time in 11 contests away from Ivor Wynne Stadium.
Printers scored two majors and was near flawless throwing the ball.
Late in the contest, the Cat quarterback had connected on 16 of 23 passes for 171 yards and run for another 32.
Lumsden, who told the Spec earlier this week he was ready for a heavier workload, got his wish. Late in the contest he had 20 carries for 189 yards and two scores.
The Burlington back bowled five yards into the end zone on the Cats, first drive of the third quarter to give the visitors a 21-6 lead and the black and gold never looked back.
With three minutes to play, Lumsden rambled 57 yards for the clinching major and the celebration was on.
Kerry Joseph had an eight-yard TD run and Mike Vanderjagt kicked two field goals for Toronto, 1-1.
Give plenty of kudos to a Cat defence that surrendered just one major.
It was a much better start for the Tabbies in their resplendent all-white uniforms. No, the Ticats didn’t score in the opening 15 minutes, but they did pick up real estate.
The Boatmen gave their fans something to cheer about early on. Nick Setta’s 52-yard field goal bid on the Cats’ opening drive was wide. Dominique Dorsey gathered up the wayward kick and scooted 52 yards with only Zeke Moreno’s desperation tackle saving a major.
However, the Cats avoided further trouble.
