Ray’s A Star As He Passes Moon!
Via TSN:
Ricky Ray finally brought a little light to the Edmonton Eskimos’ gloomy picture.
The quarterback passed Hall of Famer Warren Moon to become the Eskimos’ all-time leading passer as Edmonton stopped a three-game losing skid with a 47-28 rout of the Montreal Alouettes on Friday.
Edmonton (4-6-1) won for just the second time in seven games, moving within two points of the third-place Calgary Stampeders in the CFL’s West Division. The win put the Esks one up on Toronto for a potential cross-over spot through the East.
“It was a huge game for us,” Ray said. “I think this is the first time we had a big enough lead that I was able to come out of a game since maybe about 2003. It was very big for us as a team because we have had a lot of tight ball games.
