Tay Cody wants out of Hamilton

Tay Cody wants out.

The former outstanding player and outstanding defensive player nominee told the Spec yesterday that he would like to be traded from Hamilton before the start of next season. He said he sent his request to club president Scott Mitchell.

The three-year veteran defensive back revealed that he was so upset with the lack of respect the organization has shown him that he initially asked former club GM Marcel Desjardins to trade him at mid-season last year. Desjardins said no.

But with the 30-year-old Georgia native entering his option year next season he believes he would prefer playing for another Canadian Football League club.
