Well, it could be Dexter, or CSI: Miami, or Desperate Housewives.

What’s the best thing on Ticats TV these days?

That’s easy. It’s Candace Devai.

Ticats TV is the latest multimedia component of the Tiger-Cat website, Ticats.ca, and features videos about the team’s players and events.

Devai, a Guelph University sociology grad and a product of Sheridan College’s journalism-new media program, was born and raised in Oakville. She rode horses, played basketball and was even a member of the Queen Elizabeth Park high school cheerleading crew.

Devai cut her teeth writing sports for the Guelph student newspaper and served as an intern on TSN’s Off the Record with Michael Landsberg. That’s where the Cats found her and invited her into the Jarvis Street lair.

She’s 22 and keen to put a new face on Cat media coverage. And it’s a face Cat fans can expect to see plenty of over the season.

“I’ve been with the Ticats now, this is my second week, and there is a buzz around this team this year,” Devai said.
