Casey Printers and Jesse Lumsden ran for two TDs each as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats spoiled the Toronto Argonauts home opener with a 32-13 win Thursday night

Hamilton (1-1) earned just its second win in 19 regular-season meetings with Toronto (1-1) and halted a nine-game losing streak against its arch rival. For the second straight week Argos starter Kerry Joseph had trouble consistently moving the offence, frustrating the 30,822 spectators with the Rogers Centre roof rolled back. It was the biggest crowd for an Argos home opener since 1992 when 36,682 was on hand.

Hamilton’s offence, which looked terrible in last week’s 33-10 season-opening loss to Montreal, looked much crisper against Toronto. With Lumsden leading the way (20 carries, 189 yards), the Ticats ran effectively against the Argos’ 3-4 alignment and Lumsden’s five-yard TD run at 3:50 of the third put the visitors ahead 21-6.
